ICOMOS Ename Charter Ratified:

The Ename Center Plays a Major Role in an International Interpretation Initiative

On 4 October 2008, the 16th General Assembly of ICOMOS meeting in Quebec, Canada officially ratified the Charter for the Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites (known across the world as the "Ename Charter"). This text now takes its place as the 12th official charter adopted by ICOMOS since its establishment in 1965 (www.enamecharter.org).

A different view on heritage education with youngsters is a five day European in-service training course on heritage education. It is aimed at both teachers in secondary education and educational guides or officers who want to start with heritage education and are looking for tools to get started or who already have experience with heritage education and want to stretch their thinking. The course aims to engage its participants actively to experience heritage by means of art based methodologies.
